Jenna holds a degree in Environmental Horticulture and Urban Forestry, specializing in Floriculture, Greenhouse, and Nursery production from the University of California, Davis. Her knowledge encompasses various aspects of plant metabolism, container science, nutrient programs, environmental conditions, entomology, and more. Her expertise lies in understanding plant growth cycles and identifying issues.
During her time at UCD, Jenna worked in a research lab focused on studying the impact of environmental conditions on Wheat crop quality. The objective was to model and predict the potential effects of climate change on food crops. She conducted experiments in controlled growth chambers and hydroponic systems, manipulating variables like temperature and carbon dioxide levels to simulate climate change scenarios. Jenna recorded data on plant growth, disease resistance, nutritional content, and other factors contributing to crop quality. She also reviewed existing literature on climate change and crop production to stay informed and design experiments. Collaborating with fellow researchers and students further enriched her understanding of the subject.
